Z:axiS Audio Components are a small British manufacturer of high end audio interconnect and power leads with several other components under development, including a support system, power amplifier bases, and component feet..

We are also the UK contact for Concert Fidelity/Silicon Arts, the Japanese brand of high end amplifiers, dac, and phono stage that is gaining some serious attention due to their minimal influence upon the audio signal. Please click the link at the top to learn more about them.

   In our 25 year journey towards what we would describe as a convincing representation of an audio recording, we have, due to our nature, ended up designing and building our own mains power and interconnect leads, mostly due to the overwhelming feeling of low cost components used from the various other manufacturers.

    During this time we realised that several aspects were important in the construction of the leads, these being predominantly:

1. • That the components used, i.e. the connectors and conductors, absolutely influence the presentation, and the quality and construction of these parts is critical.
   

2. •The quality of the connection of the conductor to the connector to allow a seamless flow of the signal, and of course the tolerance of the connector to the socket on the component, is highly influential.
   

3. •The use of larger conductors than of those found in many other cables.
   

4. •A solder connection was to be avoided.
   

5. •The material that the connectors are made from of course is paramount, with Copper being the obvious choice (no Brass, or alloys)
